Standard Operating Procedures for FOREIGNERS

MEASURE 1.3.

DETERMINING THE IMMEDIATE NEEDS

  • Asylum seekers

When a foreign national seeks protection, they are accommodated in a transit, registration and reception centre, or another shelter with the State Agency for Refugees. The immediate needs are assessed by the interviewer – the case worker who investigates the facts and circumstances of significance in the proceedings to provide international protection in accordance with the Asylum and Refugees Act (ARA).

  • Illegal residents

The risk assessment is performed by the officers of Directorate General Border Police or Migration Directorate who identified the trafficked person. If translation/interpretation is necessary, it is arranged by the institution or organisation which conducts the interview.
